It Seems Like Only Yesterday...
...that I was begging, pleading and cajoling you to vote for this website.
Yeah. It's that time of year again. Here's the rundown:
Nominations Nov. 3, 2009 - Nov. 20, 2009
Finalists Announced December 28, 2009
Voting January 4, 2010 - January 11, 2009
Last year, there were a lot of technicalicious glitchery that the Weblog Awards staff had to navigate, and I suspect that this year will be no different.
Big possible change for this year though (at least a change for us): the Technorati ranking for this site has dramatically increased.
Last year, under the Best Hidden Gem category, a blog needed to possess a Technorati rating between zero and 50. As I recall, at that time ThePajamaPundit.com fluctuated between 47 and 50 on most days. Nowadays, if you look up this site at Technorati you'll see that the rating is (as of this post) a whopping 492. This likely has something to do with the fact that Technorati recently changed the way that they rate and rank blogs... but I digress...
According to this year's Weblog Awards proposed categories, this new Technorati rating puts ThePajamaPundit.com squarely in the "Best Large Blog (Authority between 301 and 500)" category. Yikes.
...anyway...
