Cornered By The Media

I just got back from The Boy's elementary school, where today they are giving out H1N1 vaccinations.

The local CBS affiliate had a reporter and cameraman outside interviewing parents. I got nabbed by the reporter and interviewed. He asked me why my son was getting the vaccination and how my wife and I came to the conclusion to have it done in school.

Really pal? Is it that tough to figure out? 1) The Boy is in the 'target demo' for H1N1 and 2) the vaccinations are provided by the school district for students, free-of-charge.

Done and done.

With my luck, I'll be on the six o'clock news looking all gangly with my daughter hanging onto my leg. The picture of central Pennsyl-tucky trash. I basically looked like every stereotype of an Appalachian man...

Yay.

On a happier note, The Boy was awesome. As the nurse stuck him with the needle, he barely winced. This, despite the fact that 90% of his classmates were screaming and crying while getting vaccinated. I'm a proud papa.
