The 'outrage' simply garners higher ratings.Following a week-long scuffle between late-night comedian David Letterman and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 'Late Show' host offered a full-throated apology of sorts on his program Monday night.
...which is too bad, because I prefer Conan (B-Diddy bait):
Specifically referencing a joke about Palin’s daughter being 'knocked up' by New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez during the governor’s visit to New York City last week, Letterman said he was unaware that 14-year old Willow Palin was even on the trip.
And yes Fury... Hulu has the best embeddable player around.

Let's hope this is the end of the David Letterman - Sarah Palin feud. While last week Letterman apologized, it was in a snarky sort of way, and wasn't accepted by Palin...

The funniest part of this whole thing, her outrage is so misplaced.. where was it last year, when Leno and Conan both joked about Bristol being pregnant during the campaign..
Oh, that's right, she was the center of attention during the first week of September and had no need to seek the spotlight, so there was no need to try to feign outrage at a tasteless joke.
Yes, that's right, the joke was tasteless, I thought it was out of line in September, I thought it was out of line last week, and I thought she was out of line when she hinted at the fact that her daughter was less than safe if they went on Letterman's show, which I didn't think he even suggested.
He clearly wasn't talking about the 14 year old, and if you read any of the Alaska blogs, where people know her and her kids, even they didn't know the 14 year old was with her, they thought it was the 18 year old, and if you see the video of the 14 year old that I saw and the way that Palin dresses sometimes, she resembles the slutty remark quite well.
But, he has now apologized again, and it should be dropped, however some of the more rabid followers of hers probably will not let it go. They are still calling for his firing and are staging a protest outside his studio this afternoon.
