Lest You Forget

... and it seems like many Americans have forgotten, today is the sixth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq and the beginning of the war there.

I've talked recently about how I would love to see every last American troop withdrawn from Iraq and brought home with absolutely no residual forces remaining, but I will settle with what the administration is doing. A gradual withdrawal and re-focus on Afghanistan is still a good thing in my book.

So, here is to all of you servicemen and women who have fought in the searing heat of the middle east. Even though the collective conversation in America has moved on to different topics, we still remember you and your sacrifices. Godspeed.
