Wow. I stand down on my previous post's comments. I turned away from the TV when this part came on and my eyebrows went up like The Rock's when I heard what I thought I heard.
Can I have a Presidential Candidate who has a poor choice of words for $500, Alex?

Yes. Yes he did.
I concur. If this is the only thing that comes off of this debate (and I suspect it will be), McCain is going to be in trouble.
Give me a break. I want to see you stand up there for 90 minutes and keep your wits about you and not make any slips. When did "that one" become a racial slur? Give me a break.
To be clear -- I do not think that it was a racial slur. And now that I look at the post and the other comments, nobody else mentioned that they thought it was racial either.
I think it just made McCain look like a dick.
Freud would have something to say about this.
No one said it was racial. It's just highly disrespectful.
I remember 12 months ago I used to praise Senator McCain on this blog about his respect and honor. This is almost a direct quote but I've said, "I have so much respect for Senator McCain because he refers to everyone as their titles. Senator, Governor, etc. The titles they have earned."
This campaign has changed McCain. The people involved have changed McCain. He's not the same man he was 30 years ago. He's not the same man he was 12 months ago.
He acts like he thinks he should be granted the presidency by default and that Obama is in his way. He acts like a spoiled petulant brat. Very contentious, rude and like Sen. Obama is beneath him. But I didn't see anything racist in it at all.
