Bush Vs. North Korea

The tension appears to be waning. Well, at least a little bit.

I watched President Bush's speech from the Rose Garden this morning and I have to say - it's no wonder that so many people think he's less-than-intelligent. The guy is simply NOT a good public speaker.

I'll update with video when I find it. It's entertaining.

On a more pertinent level, I'm pleased to find that the Bush administration is finally willing to talk to friends and enemies alike. The idea that our country's foreign policy stance was to simply ignore states and regimes that don't like us was truly asinine.

My guess is that since we have met with some success in the talks with North Korea, Iran will be next on the list. Although, that would completely contradict John McCain's campaign talking points...
