... or "Why I Frequent The Moderate Voice"
I consider myself a political independent. A moderate who favors some progressive ideology and some conservative ideology. The Moderate Voice is a blog that I check regularly because it speaks to people like me. But more than that is it's inhabitants.
The columnists are great. But when I refer to TMV's inhabitants, I'm speaking of the readers who decide to comment on the various topics. Take this post by Joe Gandelman for example. I read the article (which is excellent, of course) and then posted a comment. I have since had several rebuttals and am now intertwined in a vigorous - yet civilized debate about health care, progressive ideals and the political intentions of Barack Obama.
And nobody has called me a disparaging name. No one has questioned my patriotism (or Obama's for that matter).
This is what political debate and discussion is all about folks. Love it.
