Faux News

I ran across this today - and I felt that I had to comment.

If t his is true, it is simply incomprehensible that Fox News and the New Hampshire GOP would not include Dr. Paul.

Now the Paul-a-holics will be out in force to make change - I'm sure.

Oh, and there's another Money-Bomb on the way...

I hope you are having a nice holiday season. I'll be back with regularity soon.

Happy Christmas

I just finished opening gifts with my family. Next we are headed to my in-laws for their traditional Christmas Lasagne dinner (my wife is Italian - duh) and gift-opening.

Wishing a wonderful Christmas to you and yours.

Cheers.

Coming Back To Haunt Him

"But... I... umm... err..."

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Romney says that he's now pro-life. But we all know that this stuff would come back to haunt him.

Now there are photographs of him at a Planned Parenthood event.

Oops.

I guess that is the risk that you take when you flip-flop.

Post-It

Yes, I posted.

What, you wanna fight aboudit?

I'm going to post when I can - or rather when my work and the kids allow me to do so.

Barack

It seems like he doesn't want her to win...

Who Am I Kidding?

I don't know what I was thinking.

Look, things are definitely settling down for my family - which is nice. However, I neglected to mention that I'm also working from home - which has severely limited my time in front of the 'green-screen'. That in addition to the hustle & bustle of the holiday season has really cramped by blogging-style.

I vow to you that after January first (or whenever the New Year's Hangover ends) that I will take a blog-laxative and return to regularity in my posting.

Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Oh, and read this. It's a great article.

False Alarm

Okay gang... no need to worry anymore.

I didn't post more yesterday because the Pajama Wife was done with her interview sooner that I had expected. I'm sure the good folks at Panera Bread weren't sad to see me drive away - but I had thought I would be sitting there most of the day.

The potential job is not all that we thought it would be. It looks like there will be no move or life-changing domestic alterations right now.

If I'm being completely honest (and I always am when I'm blogging), I'm quite relieved.

I'll be back Monday with opinions and drivel.

Have a great weekend.

Ugh

Man.

I just looked at my blog to check grammar, spelling, etc. on my last post. I noticed that it has been an entire MONTH since I was around.

Yuck.

Oh, and laptops are difficult to use when you have a penis. I'm just sayin'...

The Return Of The Mack

Please don't hate me. Even if I refer to myself as the 'Mack'.

It's been a while - this I know. My humblest apologies for all of you (La, Brian, Fury, etc.) who have written to me regarding my absence from the blogosphere. I know that you have missed me (and for that I am truly flattered), as I have also missed you.

I guess that I should start by telling you all that I'm writing this post on a laptop - in the parking lot of a Panera Bread restaurant (think Starbucks - only for sandwiches instead of coffee) while listening to Gutz. My WiFi connection is strong, battery life on the laptop is reasonable, and my wife is across town in a job interview. Yes. A job interview. Here's the story:

As you all may recall, several weeks ago, my home PC suffered a vicious and completely unnecessary attack. Several viruses (Trojan Vundo, Backdoor, Downloader, etc.) and hard reboots later, I think that I've cleaned up most of the damage. Then, as things started to settle down after our Turkey Day goings-on (lots of family visits and traveling), the Pajama Wife recieved a call from a former colleague about a position that was going to be available in her former profession (student affairs in higher education). As the Wife has been, shall I say, less-than-pleased with her current employment situation (loooooong story - for another time perhaps), she decided to check it out. After all, a move to this area would put us very close to both of our families. She applied, and after several weeks of waiting was granted a phone interview. Actually, TWO phone interviews - on the same afternoon (last Friday). After concluding her second pohone interview, it didn't take but about an hour before the search committee called her (again) and told her that they wanted to meet up for an on-campus interview. So here I am, covertly sitting in my minivan,, in the parking lot of a WiFi friendly restaurant, typing an apologetic blog post to let you all know that the reason for my absence has been research into possible jobs for me, as well as hunting for a potential domicile for my family - should my wife be offered a job.

Whew.

There you have it.

However, since I have another four hours to kill, I will likely be posting several times today. So, if you are stuck in an ice/snow/sleet storm - as so many folks are today - sit back, brew some coffee, and enjoy some long-awaited prose from yours truly.
