Air Piratical Aggressions

"Air piratical aggressions and depredations" = terrorism on September 11th, 2001.

So says Ron Paul.

Dr. Paul (R-Tx) is re-submitting legislation that would encourage private citizens, rather than our military, to hunt down Osama bin Laden (and those associated with him, namely al Qaeda) as well as his property.

Check it:

Paul offered this proposal back in October 2001, arguing that it would allow “Congress to authorize the President to specifically target Bin Laden and his associates using non-government armed forces. Since it is nearly impossible for U.S. intelligence teams to get close to Bin Laden, the marque and reprisal approach creates an incentive for people in Afghanistan or elsewhere to turn him over to the [United States].”
I love Ron Paul - I really do. The guy speaks his mind and does not care about the polls, the critics, the blogosphere, etc. I think that is why he is SO popular with younger voters activists.

However - this alleged legislation is bunk. Paul wants the U.S. government to condone a bunch of pseudo Boba Fetts to go and capture/mame/kill arguably the most wanted man in the world? These "non-government armed forces" would be sent into other countries, nay SOVEREIGN NATIONS to carry out what can only be described as an assasination - or kidnapping at the very least.

Yeah - this will definitely help to restore the moral upstanding of the United States.
