Why haven't I heard about this guy before? Where has he been hiding?
Now there are ELEVEN Republican candidates for the 2008 presidential election.
Yikes. That's a lot of white dudes.

Who Is John Cox?
This space is designed for thoughtful commentary on politics and media (and whatever else comes to mind). The Pajama Pundit welcomes people from all political stripes to voice opinions freely and without fear of mean-spirited attacks. He does however expect intelligent discussion -- and some understanding of proper grammar usage.

You haven't heard from him because he's a fringe candidate, one of about 50 who sign up with the FEC to get some attention running for president.
He's raised less than $10,000 in over a year of campaigning and has been shut out of the debates because he has gained no traction with the voters. His ideas are, well, a bit "off" so to speak.
He's been known to say that he wants to "blow up" the IRS building. Nuff said?
Yeah, 'nuff said. I've read up on Cox since posting this topic. He's definitely the "typical" fringe candidate in that he speaks wholly to a particular audience in his party... similar to Ron Paul.
Thanks for the comment!
